Aston Martin Restoration Project

Aston Martin Restoration Project

Here at Brass Tacks we are delighted to say that we were recently approached to help with the restoration of a beautiful vintage Aston Martin.

As with any of the more unusual restoration projects we have been involved in, be it fire engine, film prop or yacht, the problem is always the same, finding the right replacement parts that may well no longer be produced by the manufacturer.

Our extensive and varied stock together with excellent product knowledge enabled us to source the perfect product in just a matter of days. In this particular case, the Aston Martin DB2/4 Mark III required bespoke made brass grilles for the air filters. As this model was manufactured by Aston Martin between 1957–1959, the brass grilles were no longer available “off the shelf”.

Once completed, it was great to see that the brass grilles were a perfect fit and the restoration continues for this wonderful Aston Martin.

We believe this is another example of how bespoke brass fittings are manufactured by our experienced and professional craftsmen to suit even the most challenging brief.

If you have a restoration project that requires distinctive and unique bespoke brass fittings, we’d be delighted to hear from you and help support you during your restoration project.
